Vincent Leone and Devon Neish are students at Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville. Leone uses social media daily. Facebook and Snapchat are two of his favorites.
“I like to do it at my own will, not if I see something better or to be better then them. It’s, if I like what I’m doing, I’ll do it,” Leone said.
Neish, his friend, says his parents limit his use of social media. They don’t want him comparing himself to others. He said no teen needs that negativity.
“They shouldn’t have to, have to view this like perfect male or female and have to be like them. Cause we’re all unique,” Neish said.
Not all teens have the same relaxed outlook to social media. For some, it can cause major anxiety.
